Livery Services

Stal California is situated on a very beautiful estate in Weert. We specialize in the breeding and training of dressage horses.

We offer Livery stabling and our professional team ensures a very high standard of service.

Most of our 34 large loose boxes have the top door facing out.

All horses have the opportunity to have some time in the field every day. Liveries can ride in our 20x60m riding hall with an excellent surface or in the 20x40m outside all weather arena.

For our International clients Weert lies very close to Belgium and Germany so from our yard the international trainers and competions are very accessible. We welcome you for a short or long stay.

Stables

The yard has an old - but very nice - stable complex with 16 loose boxes, washing facilities, solarium, grooming place and saddle rooms.

The specially equipped birthing box has provided a first bed for many foals.

Fresh air is the key word for this stable complex.

The picturesque carriage house provides a home to three of our breeding mare's in 3 more loose boxes and to our yearlings in a larger walking box.

Indoor School
Indoor School

The 20 x 60 mtr. indoor school was built in 1997. The high quality riding surface (Agterberg) is made of a mixture of sand and textile shreds on a lime subsoil. An automatic raining system maintains an optimal moisture and hardness. High slanting side boards provide a safe riding environment. Mirrors allow you to look at your performance or you can observe others from the canteen/kitchen area.

Outdoor Arena

The 20 x 40 mtr. outdoor arena is located next to the carriage house. The well drained surface (also Agterberg) makes year round usage possible. Flood lights make it possible to enjoy late summer night rides.

Fields Pic
Fields

The grazing fields are all post & rail fenced and provided with fresh drinking water. The fields for the horses in training are located right next to the stables, while the fields for the breeding mares and young horses, who stay out between may and October, are located a few hundred meters away. A special more isolated field is used for the stallions of the yard.

Trail Riding

"Stal California" is located only a few hundred meters away from the "Weerter" woods and an extensive natural reserve called "De Peel". It is very easy to reach the many kilometres of horse trails in these area's on horse back from the stables.
